Spring Intersession!

Using our new registration system (Afterschool HQ), we are excited to announce that registration is officially open for the 2026 Spring Intersession. We have a great lineup of hands-on activities planned, from STEM lessons to game design.

• Dates: Tuesday, March 24, 2026 – Wednesday, April 1, 2026
• Time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Registration Deadline: Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:59 pm

Locations

• Elementary (TK–5): Chaparral Hills, Edgemont, La Jolla, Moreno, Ridge Crest, Seneca, Sugar Hill, and TownGate.
• TK–8: Butterfield Language Academy (serving TK–5 and current Butterfield middle schoolers).
• Middle School: Sunnymead Middle School (serving all middle school students except those attending Butterfield).

Daily Schedule & Activities

7:30 am - 8:00 am - Breakfast

8:00 am – 12:00 pm (MVUSD Staff): Students will dive into engaging hands-on math and STEM lessons. We are also planning to have specific enrichment options at certain sites during this block:

• Solar Ovens: Sunnymead MS
• Spoken Word Poetry: Butterfield (Middle School)
• Gardening: Butterfield (3rd Grade)
• Chess: Chaparral Hills (4th Grade)
• Makerspace: Moreno, Sugar Hill (2nd Grade)
• Art: Edgemont, Ridge Crest (TK/K)
• Crafts: Seneca, La Jolla (1st Grade)
• Crocheting/Sewing: TownGate (5th Grade)
• 11:50 am - 12:45 pm - Lunch

12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Elevo Staff): The afternoon is all about "Game Making." Students will design and create their own games, participate in structured rotations, and compete in interactive challenges and game shows.
